FUNCTIONAL SEATING & STORAGE

OVERVIEW

For this project, our clients wanted to add seating to their mudroom while creating dedicated storage for their kids’ shoes to help keep the space organized and clutter-free.

We designed the frame around the existing space to maximize floor area and seamlessly integrated the beadboard into the design, making it feel like a natural extension of the wall rather than an added feature.

To make the bench top a true focal point, we used thick reclaimed old growth pine for a substantial, timeless look and feel. Epoxy was used to fill imperfections and secure loose edges, creating a smooth, durable finish that highlights the character of the reclaimed wood.
